Playing against type as a roguish cop, Taiwan pop idol Vic Chou has a new hit on the TV screen with the highly-rated "Black & White", his latest collaboration with the director of "Meteor Garden". The success of an idol often builds on a strong presence in drama series, and Vic has enjoyed long-standing popularity with his numerous drama appearances and theme songs. His famous numbers like "In Love with This World" from "Sweet Relationship", "Familiar Tenderness" from "Silence", and "Let Me Love You" (a duet with Barbie Hsu) from "Mars" can be found on his "2001-2009 The Best Collection". Released eight years after his debut, Vic's first music compilation is a double-disc, 32-track album opening with the Jay Chou-composed "I'm Not F4", emphasizing his individual identity. The selection comes from Vic's three solo albums thus far, including "Regret" and "White" as featured in "Wish to See You Again", the ballad "Love You Hate You" penned by Alan Ke, and Vic's first Japanese single "Wherever You Are". The album comes with an 18x26cm, 80-page full-color Vic Chou photo book.
